Communitas has recognized Summit Medical Group as a leader in community service and corporate social responsibility. An international organization focused on people helping people, Communitas honors volunteer efforts, philanthropy, and ethical, sustainable business practices that benefit communities. Some businesses, organizations, and individuals are recognized for their excellence in multiple programs.
Summit Medical Group earned its Communitas Award for planting more than 300 trees on its property, recycling electronic and medical equipment, raising more than $30K for the Haitian Earthquake Relief Fund, contributing to the local Community Food Bank and an annual toy drive, and supporting more than 50 local organizations.
Press Ganey Success Story Award
In 2008, Summit Medical Group was one of only 6 institutions nationwide to earn the coveted Press Ganey Success Story Award for its innovative approach to quality health care for patients and its welcoming, safe environment for physicians and staff.

2008 American College of Radiology National Accreditation Award
As a result of its high standards of practice, the Summit Medical Group Imaging Center earned 3-year accreditation in mammography from the esteemed American College of Radiology (ACR). The Summit Medical Group Imaging Center also is accredited in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and nuclear medicine.
The ACR is a prestigious national organization that serves more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with medical imaging and radiation oncology programs.
2008 American Diabetes Association National Education Recognition Award
The Summit Medical Group Diabetes Live Well Program earned the prestigious 2008 American Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Award. The ADA award recognizes organizations across the country that deliver quality self management education programs for people with diabetes.
The ADA is the nation’s leading nonprofit health organization supporting diabetes research, advocacy, and information for health care professionals, patients, and the public.
