BERKELEY HEIGHTS -- The many pleasures of summer are visually explored in Artscapes - A Celebration of Summer, opening Wednesday, June 24 at Summit Medical Group, Lawrence Pavilion Lower Lobby Gallery, 1 Diamond Hill Road, Berkeley Heights. A reception, open to the public, will be held that night from 5 - 8 p.m.
The works on exhibit are from artists with Exhibitor's Co-op, a New Jersey-based group that meets weekly to critique each others work and coordinate exhibitions. Pieces in this show range from painting to ceramics to photography, with realistic depictions of joyful beach scenes and cool shady retreats from summer's heat.
Exhibitor's Co-op exhibits are curated throughout the year in New York and New Jersey galleries and museums. Corporate clients, including Nabisco, Johnson and Johnson, ADP, Merrill Lynch and Pfizer have also hosted shows, and some have purchased work for inclusion in their private collections. Member artists have enjoyed individual success with New York City gallery exhibits, commissions and been accepted into national and international juried shows. Many have won awards and some have been published as book illustrators and in art books.
