Robert Booth, CPA, CFA, CPC - Chief of Finance

Robert Booth oversees all areas of revenue cycle management, finance, accounting, business intelligence, physician compensation, accounts payable and receivable, payer contract negotiation, and budgeting. An experienced financial leader, Mr. Booth is responsible for creating effective short-and long-term financial plans to ensure the success and longevity of SMG. He has successfully partnered with New Jersey’s major insurance payers to structure progressive, risk-based contracts and has created physician compensation models that incentivize behaviors necessarily for population health success. He was also instrumental in the implementation of an electronic medical record at SMG which resulted in the material improvement of all key revenue cycle metrics.

Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, Mr. Booth was the financial leader of two prestigious physician practices: Nemours/DuPont Hospital for Children in Delaware and Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia, PC. His physician practice experience includes managing accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, patient billing, physician compensation, patient access, and corporate strategy. Moreover, at Nemours he worked closely with other healthcare systems to expand market share through professional service agreements and partnerships. His professional experience also includes his role as Senior Associate in Mergers and Acquisitions for Wachovia Securities, Inc. Rob’s experience with Wachovia Securities gives him insight and experience in raising capital and managing debt—a unique skill among physician practice finance executives.

Mr. Booth earned his BS at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
