Described as a staple in American Cancer Society (ACS) fundraising events in the metropolitan New Jersey region, the gala has raised millions of dollars that have supported ACS programs. 

Our physician honorees, Drs. Mills, Reeder, and Wax,
have expertise in all aspects of cancer care,
including the surgical treatment of cancers
as well as therapies for cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma.

They are being honored for:

• Educating patients about the importance of cancer screening
• Reminding patients when to be screened
• Prescribing necessary laboratory and imaging tests
• Partnering with patients' primary care physicians and specialists for comprehensive care
• Partnering with the Summit Medical Group Breast Care Center, a certified Quality Center of Breast Care Excellence
• Reaching out to patients about important follow-up appointments and care
• Helping manage patients' pain
• Helping manage patients' psychological effects of cancer
• Educating cancer patients about their treatment and what they might expect
• Teaching patients about and guiding them to resources for healthy lifestyle habits
• Offering convenient online educational information to help patients

• Atlantic Health Carol G. Simon Cancer Center
• Mount Sinai School of Medicine

Supported by the Group's more than 250 practitioners in 70 medical specialties,
