Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd, has named Jerrold S. Lozner, MD, MHA, FACS, in their "Top Doctor for Women’s Health" listing, which is published in a recent issue of Inside Jersey. 

Dr. Lozner has dedicated much of his career to excellence in patient safety and quality patient care. His clinical interests are primarily devoted to breast, hernia, and chest surgery. In the last decade, he has focused on surgical diseases of the breast. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

In addition to his position at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Lozner is Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. To his credit, Dr. Lozner is Chairman of the Summit Medical Group Clinical Practice Committee and a member of the Summit Medical Group Board of Directors, Atlantic Health Physician Quality Committee, Overlook Hospital Advisory Board, and Overlook Hospital Quality Improvement Committee. He has been Past President of the Atlantic Health Medical Staff Leadership Committee and Past President of the Overlook Hospital Medical Staff. He also was Chairman of the Overlook Hospital Department of Surgery and a member of the Atlantic Health Board of Trustees.

A graduate of Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Lozner earned his MHA at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and his MD at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Lozner completed his residency in general surgery and his fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio. He is board certified in general and thoracic surgery.

Dr. Lozner is a recipient of the Upjohn Achievement Award for Excellence in Medicine. New York magazine lists him in "Top Doctors in the New York Metropolitan Area," New Jersey Life lists him in "Top Docs for Women," and Castle Connolly lists him in "Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area."
