Summit Medical Group oncologist, Michael B. Wax , MD, has recently been listed among top doctors in the New York metropolitan area.

Dr. Wax earned his BS at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, and his MD at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After graduating, he completed his residencies at Hahnemann University Hospital and the Hospital of the Medical College of Pennsylvania, both in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Washington Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

In addition to his position at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Wax is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and a member of the medical staff at Carol G. Simon Cancer Center in Morristown, New Jersey. He is a member of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. He is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine.

Dr. Wax is listed in Castle Connolly's "Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area" and New Jersey Monthly's “Top Doctors 2009.” Dr. Wax's licensed nurse colleagues nominated him for the New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors 2009" listing through a New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute (NJHCQI) independent nurse survey.
