Mohs Skin Cancer Surgeon at SMG
Last updated: Jul 01, 2010, 14:07 PM
Summit Medical Group Dermatology welcomes Hari Nadiminti, MD. Dr. Nadiminti is a specialist in Mohs micrographic surgery to remove skin cancer.
Mohs micrographic surgery is considered the single most effective technique for removing skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. An extremely precise method, the Mohs procedure allows surgeons to remove a thin layer of tissue and examine it during rather than after surgery. As a result, surgeons know exactly when tissue is free of cancer cells so that healthy tissue is not removed unnecessarily. Cure rates for patients who have Mohs micrographic surgery are much higher than those for patients who have standard or other surgical methods to remove skin cancer.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Nadiminti earned his MBA with honors at the University of Miami School of Business Administration. After earning his MD with honors at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Dr. Nadiminti completed his internship in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He completed his residency in dermatology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City, and his fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Nadiminti has delivered local, regional, and national invited presentations concerning a range of topics in dermatology, primarily skin cancer and skin cancer removal. He is a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Nadiminti joins his colleagues Naheed R. Abbasi, MD, MPD, FAAD, Gabriel G. Gruber, MD, Sam Kim, MD, and Monib A. Zirvi, MD, PhD, at the Summit Medical Group Dermatology offices in Berkeley Heights.
