Veronica Jensen, DNP, MSN, APRN-C,
joins Summit Medical Group
Behavioral Health and Cognitive Therapy Center! 

Dr. Jensen is a doctoral-prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner with expertise in psychiatric evaluations and medication management. She specializes in attention deficit disorder, anxiety and depression, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and postpartum depression. Dr. Jensen is well versed in psychiatric care for the elderly.

Before joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Jensen worked for Raritan Bay Medical Center where she led psychiatric outpatient services, provided psychiatric assessments, and prescribed psychiatric medications to patients with variety of psychiatric conditions. She also worked for the Raritan Bay Medical Center inpatient psychiatric unit and performed consultations in area nursing homes. She also provided crisis intervention services for the Raritan Bay Medical Center emergency department. She has been a psychiatric nurse for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Jersey City Medical Center, and Summit Oaks Hospital.

Dr. Jensen earned her BSN at Farleigh Dickenson University in Madison, New Jersey, and she earned her DNP and MSN in psychiatric adult mental health at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Graduate School of Nursing. The American Nurses Credentialing Center Board certifies her.

Dr. Jensen is a distinguish member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP).

When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Jensen enjoys being a mentor and preceptor for future nurses and nurse practitioners.
