Before joining Summit Medical Group, Angela Adamson, LCSW, was a therapist with South Lake Tahoe Women's Center in South Lake Tahoe, California. She also has been a therapist with Lutherbrook Child and Adolescent Center in Addison, Illinois, and a medical social worker with Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Ms. Adamson's expertise includes individual and group counseling for domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
Ms. Adamson is devoted to helping children learn new ways of thinking that can help them overcome challenges and make the most of their strengths and abilities. Focused on the well-being and happiness of her patients, Ms. Adamson is adept at guiding her patients to feelings of hope. She notes, "I believe each person has the right to an emotionally happy life."
When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Adamson enjoys hiking and photography.
