Avrim R. Eden, MD, MBA, is a recognized expert and specialist in the treatment of ear diseases such as hearing loss, deafness, ringing in the ear, vertigo and balance problems, and facial nerve disorders.
Dr. Eden also is Medical Director of Quality at Summit Medical Group, where he has helped establish standards to ensure safe practices, apply the most up-to-date medical knowledge and technologies, and improve patient care and health using evidence-based medicine to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
A former Clinical Professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Eden has been a senior professor, teacher, and surgeon at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. While at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, he held the prestigious endowed Chair as the Eugen Grabscheid Professor of Research in Otolaryngology. He has been Principal Investigator for National Institutes of Health research projects on disorders of the middle and inner ears. Dr. Eden is the author or coauthor of articles and abstracts concerning these and related topics, which are published in prestigious, peer-reviewed, scientific journals. He has delivered local, regional, national, and international invited presentations in his field.
A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Eden is listed in Castle Connolly's "Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area" and Castle Connolly's "America's Top Doctors."
