Before joining Summit Medical Group, Alan I. Fine, MD, was an internist with Paramount Medical Group in Warren, New Jersey. He has been Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, and an instructor of physical diagnosis at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. He also has been Chief in the Division of Cardiology at Sheppard Air Force Base Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Dr. Fine is a member of the New Jersey State Medical Society and Union County Medical Society. New Jersey Monthly reported that he was voted among New Jersey's favorite internists. He has been featured in the Castle Connolly "Top Doctors in the New York Metropolitan Area" listing.
Dr. Fine says, "I always wanted to be a doctor. Internal medicine appealed to me because it is varied, challenging, and always interesting." He adds, "I believe it is important to listen to my patients and allow them to tell their stories. It's gratifying for me to identify the reasons for my patients' symptoms, treat the causes if necessary, and guide my patients through their illnesses and recoveries."
When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Fine enjoys the theater, concerts, photography, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
