Alen R. Tar, DPM, is Former Vice President of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine Sports Medicine Club and a former member of the College of Podiatric Medicine Diabetes and Surgery Clubs. During medical school, he was a New York College of Podiatric Medicine Academic Scholar.

To his credit, Dr. Tar has participated in community volunteer activities, including foot screening for the Department of Veterans Affairs Homeless Shelter, American Cancer Society Relay for Life Soccer Tournament, and American Diabetes Association America's Walk for Diabetes. He has delivered invited presentations concerning foot and ankle biomechanics and complications of surgery to correct flat or fallen arches. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.

A former athlete, Dr. Tar understands the importance of foot and ankle health in the overall health of his patients. His experience with and passion for sports inspired him to study medicine, surgery, and podiatry so that he could help others improve and maintain the health of their feet and ankles. Dr. Tar is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to each of his patients while tailoring treatment to their specific needs.
