Bruce A. Schainker, MD, has more than 20 years' experience as a director of pathology and laboratory medicine for teaching and nonteaching hospitals. Dr. Schainker is Former Director in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Former Medical Director of the Transfusion Service at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey. His also was Director in the Department of Pathology and Medical Director of the Transfusion Service at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia and Associate Director of Clinical Laboratories at St. Clair Memorial Hospital in Pittsburgh, both in Pennsylvania.

A fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, College of American Pathologists, and College of Physicians of Philadelphia, Dr. Schainker is a member of the American Society of Cytopathology, American Association for Clinical Chemistry, American Medical Association, American Association of Blood Banks, and US and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Dr. Schainker is the author or coauthor of more than 20 articles, abstracts, and editorials, which are published in prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals such as New England Journal of Medicine, Endocrinology, and Transfusion.
