Personal Notes

About me:

I have two wonderful children; Amanda is 8 and Jessica is 5. They take up all of my spare time. They love gymnastics, ballet, and brownies, and we have lots of fun together. When the kids are asleep, I enjoy reading/watching science fiction, Tom Clancy, and Harry Potter. There's a mix.

Why I became a doctor:

I became a doctor because of my dad. He was in very poor health for most of my life. I saw how the physicians tried to help improve his life, and showed such compassion, and I wanted to do the same. I also love kids and that's why I wanted to be a Pediatrician. No one likes to be sick, or in the hospital. I wanted to make those experiences as easy and quick as possible.I believe wellness is all encompassing, physicial and mental.

My pediatric philosophy:

You need to create a loving environment for children to thrive. Feed them a healthy balanced diet (easier said than done, speaking from experience). Allow them as much physical exercise/recreation as possible. Nurture them and encourage them to be inquisitive. Guide them in what we think is the right direction. Hang on for the ride.
