In addition to his position at Summit Medical Group, Jory G. Magidson, MD, FCAP, is President of Morristown Pathology Associates. Dr. Magidson also is Codirector of Laboratories, Attending Pathologist, Medical Codirector of the School of Medical Technology, Consultant for Mohs Micrographic Pathology Quality Control, Director of Flow Cytometry for Leukemia and Lymphoma, and a member of the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center Executive Committee at Morristown Memorial Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. He is Attending Pathologist and Codirector of Laboratories at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. Dr. Magidson specializes in hematopathology, flow cytometry and Mohs pathology. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
A gifted teacher, Dr. Magidson has been an adjunct assistant professor of pathology at the University of California School of Medicine in Los Angeles, and he has taught clinical pathology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.
Dr. Magidson is a member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, New Jersey Society of Pathologists, New Jersey Medical Society, Morris County Medical Society, California Society of Pathologists, American Society of Hematology, and Children's Oncology Group. He is the coauthor of articles and abstracts, which are published in prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals such as American Journal of Clinical Pathology, American Journal of Surgical Pathology, and Blood.
Dr. Magidson is the recipient of 8 honors and awards, including the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Harold Lee Meierhof Memorial Prize in Pathology. He has been featured in the New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors," "Best Doctors in New Jersey," and "Best Doctors in America" listings.
