Why I became a doctor:

It may seem trite but since I was a child, I wanted to go into medicine to help people. Even after being in practice for over twenty years, I still love what I do - the gift of sight is precious and being able to help maintain and restore this important sense is so rewarding, especially since my patients have been such wonderful people.

I recently went on a medical eye mission to Africa with my family which reinforced the personal fulfillment of my profession.
