Personal Notes

My interests:

I feel a strong interest in health, prevention, nutrition, and fitness. I volunteer as a preceptor for UMDNJ medical students and serve as a mentor on a career committee (Healthy community, Healthy youth) to assist high school students in career choices. I personally have 3 boys and spend my "free" time participating in my sons' school activities as well as multiple sports.

Why I became a doctor:

I had an unfavorable experience as a surgical patient when I was 17 years old. I told myself that if I became a doctor, I would have a much better relationship with my patients. Additionally, I have always been interested in health and fitness, and medicine combines both of these interests. Lastly, I come from a family of four children who have always taken care of and looked out for one another. Consequently, I enjoy being in that role.

My philosophy of care:

Wellness is a combination of both physical and mental well being. In my practice, I am attentive to both. Additionally, I try as best as possible to be available and accessible for my patients in order to be considered a good caregiver as well as a reputable physician.
