Michelle Bender, MD, FAAP, joined Summit Medical Group in 1996. She has been Chair of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine since 2007.

Dr. Bender says, "Since I was little I have known that I wanted to be a physician who works with children. I enjoy developing plans that are tailored to and meet the needs of each of my patients and their families. In addition to giving practical advice, I strive to provide comprehensive care for each of our families."

Dr. Bender is a board member for Intensive Therapeutics, a nonprofit, charitable organization that provides group and individual occupational therapy for children with special needs. She is listed in New Jersey Family magazine's "NJ's Favorite Kids' Docs."

When she is not working with her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys reading, cycling, and traveling.
