Michael R. Dell, LCSW, has 12 years' experience as a therapist and counselor for children, adolescents, and adults. His expertise includes anxiety, depression, life transition, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, bullying, family conflicts, grief, chronic pain and illness, and anger and stress management. He has worked with families and couples on parental guidance, sibling rivalry, parent-teen conflicts, and communication.
Before joining Summit Medical Group, Mr. Dell was a mental health clinician with Jewish Family and Children's Services of Southern New Jersey, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-University Behavioral Health Brief Treatment Services, and the Mental Health Corporation of Denver. He has been a tobacco cessation counselor for National Jewish Hospital and a case manager for the foster care agency Denver, Adams, and Arapahoe County Cares.
Mr. Dell says, "I have a deep appreciation for the vast challenges my patients experience throughout each stage of life. I feel fortunate to work with them to help improve their quality of life." Mr. Dell notes, "In addition to helping my patients be effective parents, I help their children learn ways to resolve their problems and work toward positive outcomes." Mr. Dell adds, "I also combine elements of mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy to help my patients learn how thoughts can affect their experience.
