Ms. Devroye believes that the best medical practice involves a team effort. She says, "Treatment is more effective when practitioners caring for a patient communicate openly." I believe it's important to ensure that patients understand their diagnoses and treatments so that they can work at achieving their health goals."

To her credit, Ms. Devroye volunteers for PeaceWorks, a humanitarian organization that helps the underserved people of Nicaragua.

When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Devroye enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
