My Philosophy of Care:
In more than 20 years of experience helping people achieve an optimal level of health with diabetes, I have learned the importance of being flexible and open to the individual needs of people I work with. I start from a patient's current level of knowledge and skills and try to facilitate gradual changes toward improved clinical results and lifestyle management. This is a process that can take some time and effort, but the reward for patients is feeling better day to day.
I work to optimize care being provided to Summit Medical Group patients with diabetes, including making recommendations for treatment strategies. In addition to being a Registered Dietician, Certified Diabetes Educator and being Board-Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management, I am a certified insulin pump trainer and member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
About Me:
I live in Madison with my husband and have two young adult children. I enjoy gardening and am especially concerned with the environmental and health benefits of eating locally-grown food.
