Melissa Breslin, MA, MSW, LCSW, ACT, has expertise in individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She focuses on depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania (hair pulling)/skin picking, phobias, anger management, and stress management. Mrs. Breslin treats families using an approach that includes parental guidance to help address attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and behavioral issues.
Mrs. Breslin has been a special education teacher and behavior specialist for the Developmental Learning Center in New Providence, New Jersey. She also ran the child and Family Counseling Services at Union County Psychiatric Clinic Behavioral Healthcare in Plainfield, New Jersey. To her credit, Mrs. Breslin is a recipient of the Governor's Teacher of the Year Award. She is a member of the Academy of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy.
