Eager to educate patients, Monib A. Zirvi, PhD, MD, performs frequent regional skin care screenings to increase awareness about the risks of sun exposure and skin cancer. Dr. Zirvi believes in the importance of partnering with his patients to help them achieve their health goals. In addition to educating them, he presents patients with information about preventive care and all treatment options so that they can make informed decisions about their health and health care.

In addition to his position at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Zirvi is Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He has been an investigator for research projects on diagnostics for DNA cancer detection, and he is the coauthor of articles concerning a variety of topics in dermatology that are published in Archives of Dermatology, a prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journal.

Dr. Zirvi is a recipient of the 2009 American Registry Patients' Choice Award and 2011 MDx Medical, Inc. Patients' Choice Award for his outstanding care and services, including his bedside manner, approach to patient visits, follow-up care, availability for appointments, and the courtesy of his office staff. In 2011, only 5% of of the nation's physicians were chosen for the MDx honor. Dr. Zirvi is listed in the 2009 New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors."
