Roy B. Sauberman, MD, FACC, has expertise in cardiac rhythm management, including noninvasive and invasive electrophysiologic testing, radiofrequency ablation therapy, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and follow up, and cardiac resynchronization therapy. 

In addition to his position with Summit Medical Group, Dr. Sauberman is Associate Medical Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Programs at Newark Beth Israel and Saint Barnabas Medical Centers. He also is Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Jersey City Medical Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certifications in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

Dr. Sauberman is a recipient of the prestigious North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology Cardiac Pacing Fellowship. He is the coauthor of articles concerning topics in his field, which are published in peer-reviewed journals. He is featured in the 2010, 2011, and 2012 NJ Monthly “Top Doctors” and Castle Connolly "America's Top Doctors" listings.

Dr. Sauberman's interest in preventing and treating cardiac rhythm disturbances resulted from his desire to save and enhance lives. He notes, "I focus on the humanistic aspects of medicine while using the latest technologies to improve the quality of my patients' lives."

When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Sauberman enjoys gardening, running, bicycling, and spending time with his wife and three sons.
