Susan C. Canonico, RD, has expertise in women's health, family nutrition, and positive lifestyle changes for preventive health through nutrition and exercise. In addition, she develops nutrition plans for people who are obese and those with cancer, high blood pressure, and elevated lipid levels. She is certified in polycycstic ovary syndrome and bariatric nutrition. Devoted to educating people about the importance of a balanced diet and good nutrition, Ms. Canonico is a frequent speaker at local and regional health fairs and health care lecture series.
An avid cook and herb gardener, Ms. Canonico shares her knowledge about nutrition with her patients to help them achieve and maintain better health. She believes in empowering patients to take responsibility for their health with approaches that will last a lifetime. She adds, "Life is a marathon, not a sprint!"
Ms. Canonico generously volunteers her time and skills with the Montville Women's Club to make turbans for chemotherapy patients and mastectomy comfort pillows for breast cancer patients.
