Suzanne Shugg, BSN, MSN, RN, ACNP empowers her cardiology patients at Summit Medical Group to take control of their health. Ms. Shugg strongly believes patient education is key to treatment success. For this reason, she teaches her patients about all aspects of heart health. In particular, she performs stress tests, provides patients with information about medications such as coumadin, and consults with patients about their pacemakers. 

To her credit, Ms. Shugg has volunteered her expertise to treat more than 700 patients in El Salvador. In addition to providing general medical treatment, she helped educate patients and encouraged them to continue their treatment to improve and maintain their health.

Ms. Shugg is currently earning her DrNP and PhD in acute care medicine and administration at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Shugg enjoys running, cycling, and scuba diving.
