Whitney Gaydos, PA-C, is Past President of the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants, Liaison to the American College of Cardiology, and Founder of the Overlook Hospital Society of Physician Assistants.

Always fascinated with human physiology and eager to help people, Ms. Gaydos found health care a natural career choice. Her professional experience includes cancer research, physical rehabilitation, and emergency medicine. She has been an enthusiastic participant in the Shadow program, which encourages health care providers and other professionals to share knowledge and experience with high school students. Noting patient education as the most rewarding aspect of her work, Ms. Gaydos assists her patients in reaching their personal health goals and teaching them about treatment options.

Ms. Gaydos is the recipient of the 2008 New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants Outstanding Physician Assistant of the Year Award and the Overlook Hospital ACE Award for employee excellence.

When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Gaydos enjoys skiing, golfing, and listening to jazz.
