Description:

Eating disorders are a group of conditions including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge-eating in which you are so preoccupied with food and weight that you can often focus on little else. In 2009, 19-year-old Melissa Avrin died from an eating disorder after a 5 year battle with bulimia. This special evening will present the one hour documentary “Someday Melissa” that was inspired by Melissa’s journal writings. A panel forum which follows the documentary will provide a platform to discuss education, treatment and prevention of these serious diseases.
