The American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology offers these typical symptoms of a skin allergy:

  • An unusual rash.
  • Skin that appears red, scaly or itchy.
  • Swelling of the eyelids, genitals or mouth.
  • Skin that appears dry and flaky.
  • Skin that blisters or looks inflamed.
