TITLE:
A Prospective, Randomized, Double-blind Study of the Efficacy of Xolair in Atopic Asthmatics With Good Lung Capacity Who Remain Difficult to Treat (EXACT)
PURPOSE:
To study the effect of Xolair on asthma exacerbation's and the safety of Xolair in subjects with atopic asthma, with an FEV1 greater than or equal to 80% predicted, who have good lung capacity but are not adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids.

ELIGIBILITY:
People aged 12 to 75 years with atopic asthma who have a history of asthma exacerbation's, elevated serum total IgE, a baseline FEV1 greater than or equal to 80% predicted, and who are taking inhaled corticosteroids with or without controller asthma medication.
DURATIONS:
28 weeks
