Exenatide Clinical Trial
TITLE:
A Randomized Trial Comparing Exenatide With Placebo in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes on Insulin Glargine With or Without Oral Antihyperglycemic Medications
PURPOSE:
The study is designed to compare the efficacy and safety of exenatide plus titration of basal insulin to placebo plus titration of basal insulin, with or without oral antihyperglycemic medications, in adult subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are suboptimally controlled

Adults aged 18 years and over with type 2 diabetes mellitus who have been taking basal insulin glargine at >20 units per day for 3 months with a an HbA1c >7.1% and <10%
DURATION:
14 visits over 30 weeks
