Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trial
TITLE:
A Randomized, Double-blind, Multicenter, Phase 2/3 Study to Compare the Efficacy of Cediranib (recentin) in Combination With 5-Fluoracil, Leucovirin, and Oxaliplatin (Folfox), to the Efficacy of Bevacizumab in Combination With Previously Untreated Metastatic Colorectal Cancer.
PURPOSE:
To determine the efficacy of cediranib in combination with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), leucovorin (or equivalent folinic acid preparation), and oxaliplatin (folfox) compared with the efficacy of bevacizumab in combination with folfox by assessment of progression-free survival.

ELIGIBILITY:
Patients aged 18 years or older with histologically or cystologically confirmed stage 4 carcinoma of the colon or rectum, a life expectancy >12 months, no prior systemic therapy for metastatic disease, and any adjuvant/neoadjuvant oxaliplatin therapy that must have been received >12 months before the study entry and adjuvant/neoadjuvant 5-FU that must have been received >6 months before the study entry.
