Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
TITLE:
A Phase III, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled, Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Dutogliptin in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus on Background Treatment With Glimepiride With or Without Metformin
PURPOSE:
To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the investigational drug dutogliptin in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are also taking glimepiride alone or with metformin and who are not achieving desired blood glucose control using their regularly prescribed medications.

ELIGIBILITY :
- People aged 18 to 85 years
- Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 3 months
- Not taking insulin or other injectable diabetic medicines
- Struggling to control blood sugar, with HbA1c >7% and <10%
DURATION:
Up to 40 weeks
