Our OB/GYN Expertise

Our obstetricians and gynecologists have expertise in all aspects of OB/GYN medicine, including pregnancy as well as pregnancy risks and complications. In addition, we offer family planning, pregnancy tests, regular obstetric examinations, and care during labor and delivery.

We also focus on wellness with nutrition and chiropractic programs that address the changing perinatal medicine needs of women during and after pregnancy.

Teen Obstetrics / Gynecology Program

Summit Medical Group has developed a special program to acquaint teens with gynecology. We offer annual examinations, birth control, and an opportunity to discuss menstrual concerns and learn about normal sexual and reproductive development in a confidential and comfortable setting.

Because a teen’s perspective is different from that of adults, we focus on counseling and education to dispel myths and resolve misunderstandings about all aspects of sexual health and development.

No gynecologic examination is necessary during the initial appointment.

Enhanced Perinatal Medicine for Summit Medical Group Patients

We are pleased to welcome New Jersey Perinatal Associates (NJPA) to our Warren office. NJPA physicians are leasing examination space in our obstetrics and gynecology suite. As a result, Summit Medical Group patients will have access to NJPA physicians Edward Wolf, MD, Dom Terrone, MD, and Linda Peláez, MD, who provide advanced care for high-risk pregnancies. In addition, patients may receive genetic testing and counseling, ultrasound, and sonogram imaging at the Warren office.

When they need advanced care for serious perinatal conditions, patients at Summit Medical Group can benefit from effective options. State-of-the-art perinatal medicine care and services also are available through Garry Frisoli, MD, at Overlook Medical Center. “We’re pleased to have experts who can offer our patients convenient access to specialized perinatal care,” says Summit Medical Group obstetrician and gynecologist Kathleen Heffernan, MD.
