Before joining Summit Medical Group, Beata Chauhan, DO practiced at the Guzik Family Center for Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care, part of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, in Palo Alto, CA where she helped develop the Geriatric Medicine Consultative Service. Prior to that she was an attending physician at Kaiser Permanente, in Redwood, CA with a focus on the office setting, rehabilitative post acute care and one of two regional home visiting patient physicians. She completed her Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, New York.
Dr. Chauhan specializes in the care of older adults in the outpatient, post-acute care and long-term care setting for Geriatric Medicine consultations. She is a member of the American Geriatrics Society and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Chauhan shares, "My practice philosophy is to strive to provide high quality,compassionate and coordinated care to older adults. With shared decision making using a patient centered approach, my contributing goal is to promote healthy aging, maximize quality of life and independence for each individual."
While not working with patients, Dr. Chauhan enjoys time with her family, reading and running.
