Marykate Vaughn, AuD/CCC-A, has more than 20 years' experience in comprehensive diagnostic and hearing aid services for infants, children, and adults. Dr. Vaughn has expertise in diagnostic audiologic evaluations, hearing aid dispensing, hearing aid counseling, speech mapping, pediatric visual reinforcement audiometry, pediatric conditioned-oriented response, and auditory processing. She has worked in diverse environments, including hospitals, private practice, and otolaryngology and industrial settings.
In addition to her position with Morristown Otolaryngology at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Vaughn is an adjunct faculty member for the Kean University Department of Communication Disorders and Deafness. She has been Senior Clinical Audiologist and Supervisor of Audiology Services and Staff Clinical Audiologist for Speech and Hearing Associates in Westfield, New Jersey. From 1992 until 1998, Dr. Vaughn was a Gubernatorial appointee and then Chair to the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety Division of Consumer Affairs Audiology and Speech - Language Pathology Advisory Committee.
A gifted speaker, Dr. Vaughn has delivered local and regional invited presentations for the New Jersey Speech - Language - Hearing Association and International Dyslexia Association - New Jersey Branch. She has delivered presentations at workshops and continuing education conferences for audiologists, reading specialists, school nurses, speech - language pathologists, teachers, parents, and child study teams.
Dr. Vaughn is a member of the New Jersey Speech, Language, and Hearing Association, New Jersey Speech, Language, and Hearing Association Board, American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association, New Jersey Academy of Audiology, and Educational Audiology Association.
Dr. Vaughn is a recipient of the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association Distinguished Service Award.
