About Me
Allen S. Prober, MD is a member of Summit Medical Group’s Radiology department. Dr. Prober specializes in diagnostic radiology with a subspecialty in musculoskeletal imaging and interventions where he focuses on diagnosing diseases of bones, joints, and muscles.
In addition to his position with Summit Medical Group, Dr. Prober is an attending diagnostic radiologist at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. His passion for radiology led him to become a teacher to first year medical students at Tufts University School of Medicine where he later joined other faculty members in establishing Health Care Economics Milestones curriculum programs.
Dr. Prober is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Roentgen Ray Society. In 2016, he received the Radiology Resident Teaching Award from Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. He says, “There is nothing more rewarding than making a positive, tangible difference in people’s lives, and medicine provides an opportunity to do it every day.”
When he’s not working with patients, Dr. Prober enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and trying new foods.
