About Me
Corey K. Smith, MD, FACEP, specializes in emergency medicine.
He serves as the Medical Director of the Summit Medical Group Urgent Care Centers. Before joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Smith was the Associate Director of Service and Operational Excellence, a Recruitment Champion, and an attending emergency medicine physician at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. He also has practiced at St. Peters University Medical Center, Brandon Regional Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway, New Jersey, and Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida. He maintains medical licenses in NJ and Florida.
Dr. Smith is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Physicians, a member of the National Medical Association, and served on the NJ-American College of Emergency Physicians Board of Directors and the MD Mindset Advisory Board. He is a former Ringside Physician for both the NJ State Athletic Control Board and the NJ chapter of the USA Amateur Boxing Association.
To his credit, Dr. Smith has volunteered for the Student National Medical Association mentoring program and maintains an active mentoring role with the Office of Diversity and Success in Sciences at Rutgers University.
Dr. Smith is a recipient of the Jersey Shore University Medical Center Physician of the Year Award, Jamaican Organization of New Jersey Medical Young Achiever of the Year Award and has been honored with several nationally recognized Top Doctor awards.
When Dr. Smith is not treating his patients, he enjoys traveling with his family, outdoor sports and fitness training.
