About Me
Before joining the Group, Dr. Wilt was Associate Medical Director of the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center Adult Lung Transplant Program. She also has been Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Medical Director of the Inpatient Multi-organ Transplant Unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Wilt is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and American Society of Transplantation. She is a reviewer for American Journal of Transplantation, and the co-author of articles and abstracts that are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Chest, Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and Annals of Thoracic Surgery.
Dr. Wilt is a recipient of the American Medical Women's Association Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award, Columbia University College of Physicians Arnold P. Gold Outstanding Teaching Resident Award, and New York Presbyterian Hospital Department of Nursing 2009 Physician of the Year Award.
Dr. Wilt advocates patient-centered care in an environment that offers the highest standard of health care. She says, "I believe each of my patients deserves to clearly understand his or condition as well as decisions about treatment. It's important to me to answer each of my patients questions and address their concerns."
When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Wilt enjoys spending time with her family, community volunteer work, and exercising.
