About Me
In addition to her position at Summit Medical Group, Kathleen Cuddihy, MD, FAAP, is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She also is a pediatric health physician consultant for the Summit YMCA Summer Program and area child care centers. Dr. Cuddihy's expertise includes a wide range of health care services for infants, children, teens, and young adults. Among other areas in pediatric health care, she focuses on preventive care, child development evaluations, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and sports medicine.
Before joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Cuddihy was a pediatrician practicing with Paramount Medical Group/New Providence Pediatrics in New Providence, New Jersey. She also has practiced with Summit Warren Pediatric Associates in Summit, New Jersey.
Dr. Cuddihy is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association and UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School Alumni Association Board of Trustees. She is a recipient of the Berkeley Heights Township Council Honorary Citation for her outstanding community service as a volunteer rescue squad member. She has been featured in "America's Top Pediatricians" and New Jersey Family "New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Docs" listings. Dr. Cuddihy recently earned the 2011 Celebration Media US Talk of the Town Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction and the MDx Medical, Inc., Patients' Choice America's Most Compassionate Doctor Award.
A love of science and desire for a better world sparked Dr. Cuddihy's desire to be a pediatrician. She says, "I enjoy helping children and their families create a strong, healthy foundation on which they can establish productive, happy futures."
When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Cuddihy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, volunteering for community service initiatives, and hiking with her dogs.
