About Me
Marianna Strakhan, MD is a member of Summit Medical Group's Oncology and Hematology team with a special interest in benign hematology, breast cancer, GI malignancies, and renal cell carcinoma. She practices based on her strong belief in the team approach to patient care. Dr. Strakhan’s goal as a physician is to share as much knowledge as possible with the patient, the patient’s family or their caretaker, enabling them to make a well-informed decision regarding their treatment plan. “I believe in treating others as I would like to be treated.”
Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Strakhan worked as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well as served as a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Site Director at Jacobi Medical Center. In addition to her teaching role, she presented on various topics within the Hematology and Oncology fields on both the local and regional level.
Dr. Strakhan is an accomplished researcher in her field and prides herself on staying abreast of the most recent literature to ensure that she is providing the best possible treatment options for her patients. Dr. Strakhan is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Physicians.
When not working with patients, Dr. Strakhan enjoys spending time with family and friends.
