About Me
Before joining Summit Medical Group, Stephen Dippel, ATC provided care to athletes at the collegiate and high school level in New Jersey. In addition, he worked as an intern with physicians at Saint Joseph's Regional Hospital Emergency Department in Paterson, New Jersey.
Stephen says, "Through our training and experience, athletic trainers provide quality care in the emergency care, prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation and management of sports injuries."
He adds, “Traditionally, athletic trainers provide comprehensive sports medicine care to athletes at the high school, collegiate and professional level. Athletic trainers are a valued member of the healthcare team and are emerging into a variety of different professional settings including orthopedic medical practices and physical therapy clinics. Our comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the musculoskeletal system provides great value to physicians and enables us to assist them with patient care. Caring for patients in a physical therapy setting allows us to focus on the rehabilitative aspect of athletic training, helping patients return to their previous lifestyle."
An honor student at Montclair State University, Stephen was a Paul Grace Eastern Athletic Trainer's Association and Richard Malacrea Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey Scholar. Heis a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
When he is not working with his patients, he enjoys training at the gym, spending time with friends and snowboarding.
