Breast Nurse Navigation Program

Last updated: Apr 05, 2011

Summit Medical Group Breast Care Center offers comprehensive support and care of benign conditions and all stages of breast cancer. In addition to expert diagnosis and treatment, we empower our patients with education so that they can partner with their physicians to make informed decisions. Our personalized treatment plans help ensure the best possible outcomes while we assist patients in adjusting to, coping with, and managing their disease.

"If you receive abnormal test results, you are likely to have questions and concerns about your breast health," says Clinical Program Manager Nurse Navigator Carol Boyer, RN, MSN, APN, CBPN-IC. "You might want to know more about your condition and treatment options. You also might want to know what you can expect as you progress through diagnosis and treatment. Our Breast Nurse Navigation Program is designed to guide you every step of the way through your mammogram and follow-up visits."

Certified by the National Consortium of Breast Centers, our navigators have extensive experience addressing the physical and emotional needs of patients like you. In addition to making sure you know all the services our Breast Care Center offers, they can help you understand your doctor's recommendations, teach you how to perform a breast self-examination, explain medical information, and offer helpful resources. If you have questions about your breast health or family history, they are a good place to start for answers. Skilled and compassionate, they will ensure you never feel alone.
