About Me
Alessia Roehnelt, MD, ECNU, practices Endocrinology at Summit Medical Group. Her areas of interest include thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, thyroid disease in pregnancy, parathyroid disorders, pituitary disease, adrenal disease, polycystic ovarian syndrome, transgender medicine, osteoporosis, diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy. She is trained and certified to perform in-office ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirations. Dr. Roehnelt is also an accomplished researcher in the field of Cushing’s disease and has several scientific paper publications.
Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Roehnelt completed her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, and was elected to serve as Chief Resident of the internal medicine program. She stayed on at Mount Sinai for her endocrinology fellowship and completed additional training to obtain her Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU). She is currently an active member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
When Dr. Roehnelt is not working she enjoys cooking, staying active, and spending time with her family.
