Michele Nitti, DO, cofounder Montclair Family Practice in 1997. Dr. Nitti also has practiced with Franklin Pediatrics in Whippany, New Jersey, from 1993 until 2013. Before entering private practice, she practiced with an urgent care center in the Montclair area.

Dr. Nitti believes in patient-centered, comprehensive health care. "Accepting responsibility for my patients and earning their trust is more than just a job for me. It is part of who I am," says Dr. Nitti. "In addition to embracing the life-long challenge of learning about advances in medicine," she adds, "I am devoted to caring for my patients whether I see them in the office, in hospital, at home, or in a nursing home. I encourage each of my patients to partner with me in helping maintain and improve their health." Dr. Nitti adds, "I enjoy treating patients of all ages from newborn to geriatrics. Over the years I have had the privilege of caring for family members that span 3 generations."

Dr. Nitti is Past President and a member of the Essex Fells Board of Education. She has been a member of the Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) Mountainside Hospital Medical Executive Committee. She is a member of the Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital Bylaws Committee.

Dr. Nitti has been featured in the New Jersey Monthly listings. She is a recipient of the MDx Medical, Inc. Patient's Choice Most Compassionate Doctor Award for her outstanding bedside manner, time spent during patients' visits, courtesy of her office staff, appropriate follow-up care, and overall excellence.

When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Nitti enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 daughters, and chocolate lab as well as hiking, reading, writing, and crafts.
